remap sale?

Featured Replies

Do any tuners do remap sales. Getting near to Xmas and all that?

Awesome GTi always seem to have a good deal in their maps. However, I personally would rather spend a bit more to get it done where I wanted.

I'd rather have a smooth and progressive map rather than one that was spikey as hell and would kill my clutch quickly... If you're after pub talking figures then most 'tuners' should be able to give you high peak figures.

The reasons above are why I'm paying £299 for a Shark Performance map tomorrow!!

Out of interest...What makes you say Awesome have a spikey map?

Any proof?

Oh no mate - think you've mis-read my post! I was saying that Awesome have a good deal on their maps. The spikey maps was just a generic statement - I'm not about to slate something that I've not experienced!!

Just I've read a fair amount of comments and reviews about high figured standard remaps being not too easy to put down on the road properly.

I guess you pay your money and make your choice.... Mine is Shark...

I went with Shark purely because they don't get a good name for nothing! 2 of my mates have maps from a company and both are smokey as hell! Leaving the rear of their cars always covered in soot!

Ahh right ok, get you now!

I got an angel generic map last week and its brilliant would recommend them, plus as they dont have a rr or any major buildings etc its only £200! but i seen the map that went on my car and its very smooth, no spikes!

I got a VTune map a company in Leeds very smooth no Nast spikes no rr to prove outputs there golf pd130 has a proven 177bhp with the same generic 130 map obviously different cars different outputs but I'm very pleased it took them 40mins to sort it all for a tasty £175 Inc vat. As pleased and I still love the way the car drives good constant flow! Eny one in leeds area want a map check them out! VTune Leeds! Good bunch of guys say Ollie from kineholme Renault recommended them he's a top lad! And has a well nice slammed caddy lol

Will have a look at v tune, not far from me. Sounds a good price.

They have a Facebook page! Also a website. Pic of y car is on Facebook lol the first fabia they done!!

Just done my ecu logs after my awesome map, and its not spikey, well there is a small one not to aggressive and wont brake anything.

Sorry bud, I've got to say I'm dissappointed with my remap from Awesome!

My is spikey and need to get it removed! Popped my turbo recently and now taken out my clutch ad flywheel. I'm not a nutter driving either as I need my car for daily use to work. So, think it's back to standard for me! Need reliability!!

Unless there's any smoother maps with lower bhp and torqe figures!

2 different engines maybe the map for mine was better i suppose

Yeah, agree with you mate.

must admit though im not a fan of a lucky dip, landed on my feet i think

My unit 18 maps are all ultra smooth, perfect. No clutch/turbo issues, not ott power figures, just 170bhp and reasonable torque. Spot on!

Out of interest, is yours a generic map which goes on all Fabia vRS's, or can you tailor make them?

I'd be interested to know the bhp and torque figures of your map(s).

Also, can you point me to anyone on here who will recommend your maps?

Cheers

I'm not unit 18, but a customer of them. I had a custom map RR'd at just over 170bhp for nearly 2 years, now I have a hybrid turbo so I went back to them for mapping on that. Again, nice smooth power curve, no spikes. I have recommended 3 mates there, all have been 100% chuffed with the work, alternatively check out the Unit 18 section of the forum, lots of happy customers of a range of the Garages work. They have lots if experience with VAG cars and PD130's in particular.
