Fob Issue's vrs

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm experiencing issues with my fob only unlocking/locking when It feels like it,the key manually unlocks & starts the car fine, I've tried quite a few new batteries with no luck, vcds lite shows no errors that I can see, I do have a brand new spare which unlocks/locks the car manually but will not open the car by the buttons at all It shows no red light when the fob buttons are pressed for some reason, upon searching I trying a couple of the fob resync methods for both keys but couldn't get anything to work, the car is stood alot but always starts straight away, any further help would be much appreciated, cheers

No red light to me indicates a problem with the fob. Check the battery and check there are circuits in there. You can buy the cases empty for refurb purposes. Also check the model numbers match, (difficult to read) along the connecting edge of the radio fob bits.

The alarm pairing method involving "key in ignition, new key to be paired in the door" worked for me.

Hi mate thanks for the advice, one of the fobs does show the red light & open/closes the car by button but only when it feels like it, the new spare doesn't show a red light at all, both fobs I've taken apart checked contacts & cleaned, could you please tell me the paring method procedure which worked for you? I will have a check of the model numbers, cheers
