Havefitted replacement throttle body but still having same problem.

Something at 2000revs-either fuel or spark deprivation-whatever the gear causing total flat spot under normal acceleration. okay on extreme gentle acceleration. disconnected battery for several hours but still same on reconnection. Extremely difficult to start despite knowing fuel and spark available. Anybody experienced similar problems. Quite stuck as to what else to do. If manage to get over the 2000revs stage can then drive quite normally and get no flat spot on acceleration say from 3000 to 400 revs. What could be happening just at this one point under load?
