I'm at the stage i need rubbers all round and would like a nice set of alloys. I always thought as a rule you can go up 2" over the oem fitments (std vrs 16" ers)

Any thoughts?

Also, is the VRS pcd 100mm?

Yes. I have fitted 18 by 8.5 + 18 by 9.0 with 215/35 tyres.. no archwork etc... i wasnt very low at the time (30mm eibachs) no catching etc...

still on std shox, just want some nicer allies. will prob have to go to 40 profile on the tyres side walls?

35 profile will be needed, along with some hefty lowering to pull them off!

18s will look awful unless you get it lowered. To lower it you'll need to be careful with offset, width and tyre choice.

Mines 17" 9" front 11" rear and lowered on coilovers and hits every bit of bumps on bumpy roads so 18" lowered properly with camber n offset should be better

Thx again for the advice. Was just about to bid on a nice set but will hold off til i know exactly wot i gotta get done. Will prob go for a set of winters for now rather than rush n regret
