Notices a noise when in park mode or just with foot on the break and the only thing I am describe it as is like a vibrating sound or the sound of an old laser printer!! Anyone had similar noise or thoughts as to what it could be?

Has it been resting against the park lock? I've noticed mine does this when its been jacked up, when swapping the wheels over. As soon as you take it out of P its fine.

Not driven it for a week so just been parked up really. Can't hear it whilst its in motion but it concerned me enough to think whatever it was about to blow! Trip to dealer me thinks....AGAIN!

Could be oil drained out whilst been sat still, then needed to be pumped back in?

I think so yes, I know mine will make some odd noises when its been sat idle for a few days. As soon as its got oil pumped back through it sounds fine again.

Thanks for your comments Gumby I'm a little more relieved that its not just my motor that's making strange noises. Although just got in it to drive home and both windows were down as the driver side one didn't want to go up...it did eventually but was very reluctant. Cars hey!!

Booked in with dealer for tomorrow morning. Mechanic I spoke to says that noise should not be happening on the car whatsoever and he's certainly never seen one with such a problem before. Will let you know how I go on tomorrow
