11,000 miles so far 50.50

Featured Replies

Well just passed the 11,000 mile mark today and have to say in that time my costs are.....

A cheeky oil and filter change , and 1 bulb gives a total spend of........ £50.50 pence!

The oil and filter was after 6,000 miles and on the Tsi money well spent to keep that engine and timing chain in tip top nick!

She may not get you over 50 to the gallon but with reliability, peace of mind and that 30-70 acceleration

Im not ashamed to once again say

"All hail the 1.8TSI"

My 11 plate is at 10678 miles today so I am not far behind you :) I have had to spend .......... nothing really bar things like I decided to upgrade from the Bolero to Columbus and changed the badges to the newer look ones and stuff like that. You may not have achieved the same MPG as me but I dare say you have saved a few quid in petrol over if you had gone with the 2.0 TSi VRS. Is yours remapped I can't remember?

I did remap it but it was a bit too much, the standard is fast enough for me!

I drove the VRS derv and petrol

Both have too hard ride for the roads where I live, and the street where I park is not the best place to trust your VRS!

the standard TSI has been great but is getting replaced soon!
