Yes £770. Pick up Saturday. Will start a thread on it.

Is ALH the engine code? Is it basically a 1Z???

Yep.

I should _really_ start up a thread on mine but I never find the time to take pictures hahaha!

go on, who is fred? Give me a link at least!

Ideal fella looked a nice car im running a ex private hire just now aswell as maintaining. a few of ours and theyre constantly getting new stuff fitted serviced belts etc so buying them seems a good buy to me as your proberely getting a well maintained car all be it higher millage. Been offered to swap one for my sdi when the taxi plates are due renewed so free tdi lol

I really wanted air con, but hey ho it's a cheap car!!!

I have a set of afn injectors which I was going to fit to my audi 80 but never got round to it.

Trust me - the injector swap is most definitely worth it.

Make SURE you clean the mating surface however on the head if you're doing it - and then once the new injector is seated, and half torqued down, give it a gentle tap with either a slide hammer or a rubber mallet to make sure it seats well before torquing it down the rest of the way. Else you get what I had yesterday which is a compression leak lol!

Fixed easily enough though :)

Like a different car now...

I think I'll pay a garage to do it!

picked it up. Been owned by a smoker so needs a good valet  .

Did 150 miles driving back. Motorway at 70mph. Got 63.2mpg (brim to brim).

GOes very well too, much better than my 90bhp 80 TDI.

Had lots of mechanical work done to it.

Got to fix drivers door lock so it unlocks from that side.

And put my winter tyres on it.

I'll start a build thread in the right section of this forum.
