How much play should there be in these idiotic boost hose connections? This one was leaking from the joint so it definitely needs a new O ring at least but to me the joint itself looks well loose.

How tight are they normally? Ive no experience of vags and their stupid hose fitting ideas.

I'd replace the clamp as these are know to fail, hence why RAC patrols carry them there vans.
