Whats the £106 for?

Edited by Stuarthaskins88

its from awesomeGTI for a vent which basically replaces the driver side vent which has a boost gauge hole moulded into it. looks quite clever and smart,

But £106 is a rip off when it only cost probably only a quarter or less of the price.

How much do you think there worth? Cost me like £20 tops and i carbon wrapped other vents and had some left ova

Depends on the hours it takes you, i'd happily send you a vent for you to do this and obviously pay your costs and the materials :)

Depends how much money your time is worth, if its easy enough, will get get less time everytime, youd be buying in bulk so materials would be cheaper, contact the guage company and see about a bulk buy discount to bring the cost down, id more than happy pay £30-£40 for one

for the vent or for everything? :o think i'm gunna try and attempt this, put probably gunna be flush and using body filler lol :p although putting an angle on it could be something worthwhile

I was going on his cost but forgot about the vent, i dont know how dear they are, or if he has a scrappies near by he could rob a few to get started, seems alot of work to send yours to him whilst he does, could do a refund scheme to make it cheaper, he gets the vents, does the job, sends you the boost guage out, you fit it and send your vent back?

Can get vents off of ebay for £20ish, id definitely want one!

My instant reaction is to jump back at you with "come at me bro", alas this is the internet and you could not see my banter. If I need to explain myself and I think I will; There is a guy on here with a black vrs in the for sale section, he was tempted to break it and you more or less told anyone interested to "get in line" as you had first dibs. Ergo I know you are after parts to mod your VRS and it didnt come as a suprise to me, hence I made my post above.

Right had a talk to a friend that works in a body shop he's prepared to let me use spray booth and paint so if you were wanting one theres no reason why i couldn't paint it how eva u wanted it and was thinking it would probably be worth doing other two vents at same time to match of corse if u wanted them vinyl or carbon wrapped i can do that to keep sending me your pm's just give me a little time to work things out :)

I know the guy with the Black vrs (Andy) and he asked my advice months ago and i told him then it would be hard to sell so he should break it, and here are the parts i want because he has very little of the standard parts left and i am only down the road from him so was going to be easier for him to get the standard parts and for me to get the mods i wanted.

The fact this guy said he was interested in producing these on a larger scale meant i pm'd him to offer some advice on parts, bulk buying etc and obviously to say i wanted one. If he wants to make me one i will pay good money for one as i want one and he has done a good job with his.

I am on here alot as you can see with my posts so i normally get in there quickly to put my name forward for things such as the boost guage, but if its going to make a big problem then i will back out and let the children have a shot, and i will make my own.

Its a forum, people are on here more than others, no need to make an issue out of it bowen, were all friends.
