Skoda Assist Call Out Record...

Featured Replies

What's your record number of call outs in a day??

Currently on 4 in a 24 hour period but today seems like its going to beat that...

Flashing lights and knocking steering this time? Electrical fault maybe?

It just gets worse and worse for you, thought you were rejecting the car?

that is madness, i am feeling the pain as well dude, deep breath and think happy thoughts!!

I'm trying to reject but waiting for information from a couple of third parties who aren't assisting...

Can you drive the car/ get in on the back of a flatbed to the dealers and demand a rental as this is simply getting to a point where it is dangerous...

And here I am again, waiting for Skoda Assist... New sparks seem to have lasted about 250 miles but I'm now on permanent EML and EPC lights and cylinder shut down... Only I can't re-enable the cylinder..

Hell. You really aren't having a good time with that car. :-( Really hope Skoda come through and allow the rejection ASAP. Good luck.

Damo, if Skoda Assist (RAC) have not arrived yet ask the guy if he can do a compression check. I wonder if yours may be going the same way as mine did.

Mine just went though unlike yours.

The car is gone... 4th set of plugs in 8k and this set lasted 200 miles... Think this has actually done the piston/cylinder as even with a new plug in it was still missing... I'm now rocking an Hyundai i20 1.2

200 miles :o :o :o Jeezus wept. Surely there must be bits of them fouling up the valve train now? I assume it's cylinder 3 or 4 again?

Cylinder 2 this time Gray... But still misfiring badly after new coil and spark

Faults sounding very much like mine, compression test needed.

I really hope they sort this as it is now beyond ridiculous.

Have you reported this saga to the motoring press, i.e. Auto Express etc.? I think it might add leverage to you claim. CC a copy of your letter to the media to Skoda Customer Care.

I will be writing to Chemnitz factory in Germany to the head guy, who is also a chief engineer responsible for the design of the engines, with all the evidence I have from the forums. Wonder how is he going to respond to this?

Don't throw away your plugs, worth keeping.

Could all of you with similar problems do a short summary, either in a post or PM to me so I could include it in my e-mail?

Do you need a summary from me?

Everybody!

Something like :

1. 200 miles, 1 lither oil added (date stamp)

2. 300 miles 0.5 itre added - commentary on dealings with the dealer

3. etc til now
