Has anyone else got this? Im slowly but surely starting to get p'eed off with half of the team staying at spawn with fcking sniper rifles not playing the objectives which makes us lose the game (domination).

This is on my list for xmas. For xbox though. The tactics you speak of are typical of COD games. Its all little american kids playing it and you usually get them spouting absolute tosh through their mics. Unless you join a clan dont expect anyone else to play in any way that resembles tactical. Its still fun but it can get annoying if you play it too much. I still buy it every year like a mug though.

With me having the rest of the week booked off from work, the majority of my clan are in work, so trying to find a decent game is finding out to be pritty hard, yes the american kids you speak of are very annoying, but a quick finger fired on the mute button works a treat

I did this when skyrim came out. It is slightly geeky but i still loved locking myself away for hours on end. No chance on this earth i would get away with this sort of behaviour now though with the wee one kicking about. Managed to cram 3 hours in last night on borderlands 2 after wee one was asleep. Got to grasp the chances when you get them nowadays.

I used to be huge PC gamer and played counterstrike and the original team fortress to death many moons ago. I played every 1st person shooter that was made. Could never understand how anyone could p,lay them on a console with a controller as they are so slow and clunky. Its amazing how you get used to things. I now love my xbox for these types of games however i dare say if i tried a PC again it would just depress me. So much faster and more accurate using a mouse.

Still makes me laugh when wee kids say they would kick you ass using a console controller even if you had a mouse and keyboard. Total ignorance. In fact did they not try this once and the top console gamers got their assess handed to them playing COD by the PC players.

Grown ups play BF3 lol

I got MW3 and got to about lvl 9 then got bored of the franchise, havn't bothered with BLOPS2, still on BF3 though a year later

Pretty much converted to console games in 06 when I old; for 0.00, my gaming pc's.

Half tempted by a few of these titles. Always felt the console was not as engaging, that old mouse head wasd thing missing. Never stopped me wasting hours on the ps3 though

Had a go at the new planetside2 release yesterday (slow as I'm on an 06 machine). I used to play the first one (pointless exercise) and the second is actually quite good, still pointless; no end game. Wish I could of shook the hand of the like minded enemy sniper who found me on a little ledge in the middle of his base or on the grassy knoll overlooking the mobile spawn point... its war! Kill the supply lines. Yes I like the sniper model, less manic. But snipers should not sit at the spawn point they should be on the edge of the fog or beyond overlooking the spawn/choke points

Thats I think why I struggle on fps in current consoles to linear/pathed, takes me ages too once I can figure out the bullet drop -ve/+ve angles.

That Planet side2 does look good, one of my customers in work gave me a little demo of the beta a few months back, trouble I find is commiting time to learn a new game

Well that and my holidays get renewed Jan so i thought i might aswell use them now whilst work is a little quiet. lol, i use to play CS aswell, still got my old 5 digit ID that i havent played in a while. I can remember a few months back someone asked to mix, felt like a right kn0b forgetting how its all played. Only took me until the second half and i was back to myself. Use to play ED, ESL, clanbase, and a few others. ***looks back and thinks "ahh, the good old days"***

Strangely enough i went my brothers for a few beers, pizza and some Black Ops, he used a controller and i was ****! Said the famous words, "give me a mouse and ill floor you"

Gives me an excuse to tell you im only 22 then , i use to play BF3, i still do once in a blue moon but its the huge maps and getting snipered from 30 miles away that annoyed me the most.

Love badcompany 2, hated BF3. Just couldnt get into it for some reason. I think COD had bored me so much that i didnt give BF3 the chance it deserved. I still have it but it never gets played. I agree it probably is more tactical but you do still get ****s playing it. It didnt look that good on the console either, very jaggy. Basically a PC game ported to console so it wasnt really optimised for consoles whereas COD is hence why COD feels and plays better IMO. BF3 on PC looks aweaome though.

Its all about the multiplayer. Dont even know why they bother with the single player campaign. If i want single player i play proper games like borderlands or skyrim or the likes. COD is all about the online. I am getting sick of it as its too samey year to year.

Best multiplayer i have ever played has to be battlestations pacific. Island capture on this game is epic. hardly anyone plays it though. Pity. If you dont have it, pick it up and try it. Superb.

Only good thing about COD now is people like Dai Ling Ping making troll videos.
