Hi, I'm trying to fit sat nav in my 2012 octavia and have the chance of getting a genuine amundsen at a good price. Problem is that the dealer has told me they are not recommend by Skoda as a retro fit. As you can get them from the factory fitted is this true. If I buy the unit will it fit and work. I thought all I'd have to do was pull out the Bolero unit, add a gps ariel the slip the Amundsen in. Perhaps I'm being naive, it's a lot easier with my 94 defender.

The Amundsen+ is standard fit on the vRS Blackline and (I think) the SE Connect. It cannot be specified as an extra cost option instead of the Bolero unit - the only option is the Columbus unit as far as I know. Shame as from my limited use of the Amundsen+ so far it seems a decent enough unit with good sound and the DAB & Bluetooth is great. I haven't had chance to try out the Sat-Nav on it though.

PS - Good to see there is another Land Rover fanatic about ;)
