Coilovers fitted

Pro Sport coilovers

Infact from memory, when I measured the height with a tape measure, the fronts are 13" from centre of the wheel to arch and the rears are 12.75" from centre of the wheel to arch line.

  • finally being looking around the forum for a yellow Octavia like mine with black spider wheels and i like it alot and with it lowered it looks awesome

  • well on the rears they go onto plastic covers that come down and cover the shock, the other end fits into the topmount, so you need to reduce the mount in theory without affecting how it fits with the

  • Think we maybe should, not a good thing to be on the market the way it is

they may not be up to what you are used to, remember your background in cars, and the fact they are a budget setup..

Yeh I figured for the sake of £200 i'd take a chance on them.

That said, there rated slightly better than the Weitec's as they are 1000kg front and rear (or 1020kg/1020kg for the cupra R) and the prosports are 1020kg front and 1025kg rear

yes but as we both no its not just the rating of the springs, but the quality of the manufacturing of said spring, and how it is designed to work.

weitec are kw, end of they are going to be better than the pro sports, i would (almost) bet a ball on that!

I've got my fronts 8 threads up but I was wanting to fit a cupra splitter, not sure if its asking for trouble. Pro Sport need to make people aware of the drop link issue with the kit, or better still get it sorted

to be honest, i wouldnt buy them on that basis alone, i can't help but think they are just a kit for some of the other vag models, sold to us Vrs owners as correct (when they are not)

I agree that KW / Weitec will be better quality of parts (the valving etc of the shocks and also the coating of the shocks and springs), but the weight rating will be the same, as after all 1020kg is 1020kg ;)

Agree that they need to sort the droplink issue out, I wasn't too pleased when I had issue's fitting mine and I had to workout the size of droplinks required, I think they should be including them in the box.

They are listed as for Audi TT (8N iirc), Cupra R and Octy vRS, no other models.

yes thats what they are listed for..but the fact they don't fit without chaging your droplinks tells me something else!

Mine were listed as the same, if you hadn't figured out the 250mm drop links I would have been stumped, hats off :)

indeed, its not just one kit, its all...somethings not right!

The shocks are shorter, and when all is said and done.

There less than half the price of the weitec's which are the cheapest of the rest iirc.

go pro sport yeah :giggle:

I have racelands on mine. Cost me £140 and fitted perfectly without any modification. They should be told they are not correct fitment without modification for the vrs no matter how cheap they are.

Sent from my phone, using my thumb.

go racelands yeah

no as paul says, raceland and joms are a cheaper option that fit, these may be half the price..but you can see why..

go half price yeah

Joms don't fit as they don't have the ARB brackets on them.

go brackets yeah

my bad, sorry never fitted budget coilovers so don't really know what does and doesn't fit, joms out, but raceland seem a better choice as they fit, however thats irrelevant, as you have them now...

go brackets yeah

go cheap? yeah?

go however thats irrelevant now yeah

go cheap? yeah?

hell yeah!

kinda guessed that already lol

go fit the wrong car parts...yeah?
