Help: No brake lights & flashing glow plug light.

Featured Replies

I have the above on my car, I believe its do with the brake light switch but would the fuses also possibly cause this?

If its the brake light switch that's failed, are they easy to replace, and how do I replace it ?

Car is also fitted with cruise control.

Thanks

Have a read of the thread below. Note the advice to buy the switch from a Skoda dealer so that you can be sure it is the latest revision.

Thanks have had a read through this thread, it seams to give instructions how to remove the switch but not to replace it.

P.S. I assume that your cruise control is currently inoperative.

No idea, the flashing glow plug light came on, and my concern was then getting home with out someone hitting me in the rear :whew: So cruise control was not used.

Many thanks for all the posts, decided in the end to take the car in to be repaired, didn't fancy coming home and fixing it in the cold and the dark :giggle:

Please Let us know what the problem was once you get it fixed.

Problem was the brake light switch, all fixed now, hopefully the new one will last as long the old one (8 years)

A good result, then, and not too pricey. :)
