Xneon lights Adjustment

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I have a 2008 Octravia Tour Combi fitted with Xneon lights, but the dims on it are way out of focus only lighting up about 10 meters in from of the car. Does anyone know how I can adjust the dims vertically to increase the range of the beam. The head on the car are perfect. It says nothing in the manual and the haynes manual is very sketchy about the topic as well (mind you I know they do not produce a manual for the tour Combi, but I research using the 2004 up diesel manual).

Unfortunately it needs to be put onto a computer to be reset, best bet and from personal experience as i have xenons is bite the bullet and get them done at a dealer or a very good VAG independent.

As Grizzle mentions the factory fit xenon's need to be put into 'service mode' before adjusting them.

If you don't do this any manual adjustments can confuse the self-levelling system.

I'm sure very small adjustments can be made using the adjusters on the back of the headlights but I wouldn't want to risk it.

When I bought my Octavia Scout I was getting flashed a lot by other motorists. I took the car back to the dealers and they 'reset' the lights. I've never had any issues since.
