Polish/seal new alloy wheels

Featured Replies

New car so I want to give the car a good polish/wax/seal next week (I have got all the stuff foe that) also want to polish/seal the wheels...like I have on all my other cars.....whats new or good in the way of wheel sealants these days, I know most car paint waxes don't work as well on wheels

Armor All Shield for wheels got the Autoexpress vote recently........so I bought some. Seems good so far!

I have to say that i was recomended by quite a few people Collinite 845 and i wont be using anything else in future its great stuff.

I have put it on my Black 18" Neptunes and i just hose them at the weekend not even jet wash and they come up like new again. Brilliant Stuff. As a side effect it creates a barrier from the harmfull effects of the corrosive compounds in brake dust.

I think i purchase my bottle from shinerama and its listed on there as a wax specifically for alloy wheels. However i

use it on the whole car and i can't fault it.

Congratulations on another Skoda buddy.......;)

If it were me I would be looking at investing in some G-Techniq C5 but you will also need to invest in some IPA to ensure you get a good seal to the wheel.........:)

I suppose the next question is....IPA and G-Techniq ...where's the best/cheapest place to get them

All OK got the c5 from "clean your car" and the ipa I can get from Maplins

You can get them from most online places to be honest and some will give you free postage if you spend a certain amount, you will also get discount code benefits with some suppliers as opposed to others.

I source most items from Elite Car Care, if your only going to do 4 wheels then this bottle will be enough:

You will also need some of your partner's make up pads to apply the product......:)

Here is the IPA:

Use 'DW' to gain a 5% discount.........;)

Same as above use C5 and you wont go wrong!!
