Vehicle codes?

Featured Replies

Vehicle data is given in coded form on a stuck-on label in the Service Schedule booklet. This is mine (a slightly doctored scan because a dealer stamp has smudged over it):

Vehiclecodes.jpg

According to the titles, the first line (not shown) is the VIN. The top line of the pic is 'Vehicle type'.

Then comes 'Gearbox code/paint number/interior equipment/ engine output/engine code'.

Finally, a grid of codes shown as 'Special equipment'. The only one identified is field 4:3 (4 across, three down), which is the service interval (page 5).

I'm sure someone can break the other codes. Just for interest?

Try that, enter all the 3 digit codes separated by semicolons and you should have a list of equipment appear.
