Hi.

Is anyone else having problems with the new Hitman game? Ive been a fan of the series for ages, since the first, but this latest iteration seem broken to be. There’s lots of things they have changed about the game – I much preferred the original series of missions/hits to the new continuous story feel the new game has but there’s one thing that is ruining it for me. I’m referring specifically to the disguise system. It used to be that when you took a disguise you were immune from trouble unless you did something stupid or odd; went where you were not allowed, showed your gun, or were generally being a nuisance.

However now when you are in disguise everyone has a problem with you, rendering it useless as you still have to hide from people. I struggled through he strip club yesterday and then spent ages trying to get through the children’s home/hospital thing where the goons are looking for the girl. I just can do this bit. I cleared the top floor fine but downstairs there must be 50 goons – too many to beat in a shoot out and too many to hide from. Even disguised as one of them I can’t get to the scattered fuses without someone blowing my cover. I lead them to a corner, kill them quietly, but then it all starts again till I’m blown.

Close to giving up. I’m playing it on hard but maybe that’s the problem? Need to downgrade to medium/normal? Any advice would be appreciated. I’m also on Xbox if that matters. All the reviews I’ve seen love the game, except of the Telegraph one online.

On a serious note is the game any good? i loved the old games to and im tempted to buy this

It is good, but qute different form the old games. See this review for a fair assesment. I personaly dont thing its as good game-play wise as the old ones.

PS - I managed to get past this bit just by legging it past everyone! Not strictly in the spirit of things but lifes too short.

It's an awesome game. I'm a little further on and granted, the plot takes a rather large diversion but the missions are great and only get more challenging.

It's more like the original Hitman than Blood Money - just without the crazy 6th sense AI!

Dont get me started. Far cry 3. I cant wait. Reviews are friggin awsome. Normally id have pre-ordered a about 3 months ago but i'll be waiting untill christmas for this one. The satisfcation from emptying a checkpoint / camp with fire started from a flare gun in far cry 2 was epic. God im such a geek. Good times.

I have never actually played any hitman games strangely enough, considering how long ive been gaming, but i did think about getting this one. Unfortunatley bvaby duties seriously limit xbox time so i have to be selective.
