Good find update George.

We have about 1 1/2" this morning. Up the A9 again on Monday then over to the NE so hoping its no more than a scenic dusting!

slider,

are you watching the forecast for tonight into tomorrow morning?

It should be a lovely day later on.

I should be at the Lecht by afternoon time.

If you pass through Keith anytime,

try the Strathisla Bakery (on the main road A96, AB55 5BL)

for the Aberdeen Butteries, (Rowies) & the Smoked Sausage & bean pies.

Just anything really from there is good.

Have fun.

Heading up to Huntly Mon. afternoon - hopefully the weather will have cleared by then. Will probably go A9, Speyside then over the hill from Dufftown. Not the shortest road but an easier drive and just as quick I think.

No easy road to Huntly from the South really. Alternatives are Glenshee or A90 then Cairn o Mount or Slugs road to Banchory. Tried going right to Aberdeen once but traffic round the city was a disaster!

George great site this, son has just moved to Scotland ladybank nr Dundee which camera would be the best for us to check weather ?

Only Camera near Dundee is the A90 Lonforgan camera.about 6 or 7 miles west of the City

Slider,

i think the A93 Snow Gates at the Spittalof Glenshee will be closed overnight & open for 9 AM at the latest.

Thats how i am going.

'Cairn 'o' Mount' is my shortest route,

but has a good chance of being closed longer depending on how soon & how far East it Comes.

seboni,

is it Ladybank in Fife he has moved to?

I used to live near by at Tarvit Mill near Cupar.

Fife roads are usually OK for snow.

Near Auchtermuchty,

(Wear the Fox hat!)

the late home of Jimmy Shand & where the Proclaimers grew up.

Very nice

& the Falkland/Lomond hills are lovely, Falkland Palace, (Johnny Cash believed his family were from there.)

Ice Cream in Cupar, even on a day like today.

george

Must remember & put the CD in the car tonight.

(& a Jimmy Shand, incase i get stuck)

Just an ickle snow in Forfar this morning & mild,

but going to be slippy for a while yet. No gritting or salting has been done.

Tonight will be interesting if there is not a full thaw before the freeze..

another 11/2" here this morning. Got a message from a friend following a snow plough in a convoy at Dalwhinnie. Will wait till mid day before heading off me thinks

Radio was reporting from early on that northbound passed House of Bruar was blocked with a jackknifed lorry.

Probably all fine now.
