58 plate 1.9 Ambiente 4th Long Life Service

Featured Replies

Could anyone please advise on what's involved in 4th long life service.

Current mileage 75k. Skoda dealer quotes £350.

Also, makes sense to shift over to 10K fixed intervals now to be kinder to an an older engine?

Thanks for any advice.

They all pretty much the same. The dealer should break down the quote.

My mates polo 1.9pd is now on 155k on longlife service with no problems.

Thanks JRW

At a guess I am thinking, fuel filter, pollen filter, air filter and a brake fluid change.

Fuel filter, pollen filter and air filter is all included in the £249.

Good point on the brake fluid change, that is £45.

If it needs an MOT too thats another £39 (although my local dealer does it for £19.50 if its already in for a service).

That's £337 so £350 is still a stretch.

my mistake folks - £315, not £350.

Just wondered what was included, more than whether cost justified. There's a VW specialist here in Edinburgh, so it'll probaby be heading there from now on
