Missing wheel bearing covers

These are missing from both from wheels on my vRS, so I've just got a rusty exposed wheel bearing bolt. Should I be worried? Both back wheels have them, so has either someone forgotten to put them on at the factory or are they purposefully not put on the front? i.e. with wheel removed, the centre hub/bearing has a cover over on the back, just not on the front ones.

How much are replacements and will dealers stock these or are they a specialist item they'll have to order in?
