Hi all,

My Dad's 2007 Golf Mk5 2.0SDI has stopped starting, He came to it one morning and it just wouldnt start.

I've been checking over it to see if I could see anything before sending it to the dealers, the symptoms were

No engine light or Glow plug light which suggested there was no communication with the Eng ECU, I've checked all the fuses, earth connections,

wiring up to the ECU and to see if the ECU had any water ingress.

So after almost giving in I noticed there seemed to be water around the relays and CCM, upon further inspection found the Canbus gateway module full of water.

I'm therefore hoping this is the fault, The numbers on the module are 1K0 907 530K, so I was wondering if I can get a new one or a used one would anyone in the Preston area

be willing to code it with VAG-com?

If you struggle, I also have it. Lucky it's a mk5 Golf, as I only have the Mk5 platform cable!
