I have been told at a local garage that my headlight leveling sensor has gone. I know that occasionally the motor goes that will adjust the lights so checked this first and it is fine.

Is the sensor part of the headlight unit, or can I buy them seperately? Can't find anything of any help anywhere.

First off, unless you have the optional plasma discharge units, you don't have an automatic headlight level sensor!

They are the proper HID projector headlights, and I have seen the level sensor on the car, but just wondering if I have to go through Skoda and pay mega bucks, or if I can save myself some money and buy the other version.

The octavia one is listed as 1U0907503 on Vagcat and the drawings look identical.At that price I would try it, just see if any codes tell you if it is the front or rear sensor to save the extra effort
