I have an octavia est 2003 130 and just lately the car started to misfire when at quarter temperature, the today the car wouldn't run properly until the temperature reached halfway, the asr light also comes on. I've tried keying off and this did work initially but alas the problem now continues until the temperature reaches halfway and the asr light stays on.

Anybody got any ideas please?

Get it checked for fault codes, or start guessing.

The ASR light sometimes comes on when the MAF is duff too.

Got these codes of it

18074- P1666 Valve for pump number 1

17552 – P1144 MAF open circuit

16685 – P0301 Cylinder No1 misfire

Talking to a friend in the trade he suggested the injector wiring loom first, so I've ordered one for the morning and we'll see what happens next.

i was going to say a maf up the duff

Replaced injector wiring loom, all sorted. £55 fix
