Featured Replies

Hi,

Im looking at buying a 2010 Octavia vRS 2.0 T FSI. The one im looking at has 20k on the clock, is there anything i should be wary of? Are they a good car as everyone says?

Thanks

Absolutely, although mine is a diesel.......best car I have ever owned!

I test drove a diesel one today was so impressed. The diesel is 2 grand more roughly for a 2010, id prefer the diesel not sure i can stretch to that though. Although i dont do massive mileage (8-10k a year).

Hi and welcome aboard.

Yes they are good cars.

Hello J1mmys and welcome along

Don't think you'll be dissapointed though it's a big up for the vRS if you're impressed after having a 330 beemer. I've not driven the vRS petrol though the TSI engines are smooth. The CR has more torque at 350nm but 30ps less, the petrol 200ps but 70nm less but obviously revs higher. from those that have both the reports are the CR is a little more front heavy because of the weight of the engine, but that's about it. again they report the petrol has more top end acceleration than the CR but the CR is more linier Drive the petrol friskily and most seem to get circa 30mpg unless on a run. The CRs get a lot more MPG as you'd expect circa 50mpg is quite common

TBH i dont rate the BMW's as highly as people say they are very problematic. Nice cars to drive finished very well but more to often have very complex problems and are extremely prone to rust as young as 8 years old ive seen it on a BMW.

In the past ive had many Civic Type R's cant rate them enough immense cars, but i've had 3 so time for something different. I have always found the Octavia's attractive ever since i was about 20 (about 8 years ago). My other choice of car is a Astra VXR, but i think the skoda has topped it after a drive.

Whats the difference with these BlackLines?
