Hi, I am looking for some advice! 

I'm in the process of upgrading my 06 octavia vrs tdi stereo to a Columbus rns 510 and Bluetooth module but I need some advice on what module is the best for price and quality!

I have looked at a few rns units (around £450-£500 :/) and think I have decided on a 2011 dom unit! 

But does it matter what version it is? (b-c-d etc)

Also the seller offers to add software to it so I don't have to upgrade the can-bus, is this ok or is it bad for the car etc?

As for the Bluetooth module I would like all call functions possible on the stereo including audio streaming and also I may add a mfsw at a later date, will my parking sensors still work?

Also does anyone know how much I would get for my stream stereo with code and 6disk cd changer?

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated

Can't help with the unit upgrades (all a bit like voodoo magic to me!) but the Stream headunits seem to change hands for about £50 - there are quite a few on eBay.

Thanks Norman/mike for the advice, don't suppose you know what can bus module I can fit? Are they all the same just got more up to date software on the newer ones? Are they easy to fit etc? And do you know anything about the bluetooth? Thanks again.

Wow thanks mike that's cleared alot up, I shall start spending I don't have maxidot does this matter? Can I retrofit it on the fl octavia?
