laptop memory

Featured Replies

any idea on the best place to get some new ram for my laptop, i'm looking for 2x512Mb 333 DDR SO-DIMM(i think) its the little ones about 2 inch's long

Definitely Crucial, imho the only choice as you want reliable memory. Laptops get bashed ;)

Third vote for Crucial - used them quite a few times, and the finder tool was always spot on. Good prices and quick delivery too...

Crucial again. Used them a few times and they supply quality products very quickly.

However you can often get Crucial memory cheaper from Ebuyer than direct from the manufacturers

just been looking around and found dabs.com to be cheaper than either e-buyer or direct by around a tenner  kinda looking at a pair of 1Gb sticks :D

is it possible to run my laptop on a single dimm or will it only run on a pair like it comes from the factory?

Normally a single stick will work but why risk it ;)

cos i want 2x1Gb but not sure if money will stretch :D

I would imagine you'll be fine with one if you want to spread the cost
