Hi I'm selling the other halfs lupo 1.7 sdi x-reg 2000 . She used it to commute from Dundee toPerth daily and done 50 miles daily returning 65-70 per gallon.

Long story short the timing belt has stripped some teeth and cause internal damage the valves have made contact with the pistons. I've had the rocker cover off and it will need hydraulic follower and valves the head has not been off so I can say what the piston crown or bores will be like.

I dont want to scrap it cause it has gave trouble free driving for over 2 years only needing tyres in that time.

If some has the time to repair or replace the engine which can be bought from eBay cheap enough it will be a good little daily run around.

I'm in Dundee it will need towed away as it will not run.

Might even be a car for doing an engine swap to a 20v turbo. Have a look on you tube some even put w12's into them.

Why don't you lob a 2nd hand engine in it yourself and sell it that way?

The worst bit about it is iam a mechanic. But I just don't want to put money into it and sell it. But cant justify keeping 3 cars. A 20v turbo conversion would be good in it. I may keep it. But until I decide its still for sale.

Quite a big following for them, so as Raf suggests, Lupo forum should be beckoning if no joy (seemingly) in here.
