In Praise of Skoda dealer

Featured Replies

For a change how about praise for dealers.

While away last weekend, when i opened the bonnet, the plastic release handle came off into my hand.( the inside the car)

As my car will be 2 yrs old in approx 2 weeks time & out of warranty , I spoke to them earlier in the week about a replacement and had arguements about sorting a replacement.

However today i popped to the dealers with the broken handle so they could see it, when i arrived & showed them the broken handle, he popped off & came back with a replacement as he just happened to have 1 - Bonus.

Nipped back to the car & fitted & tested in less than 2 mins.

Now just get them to find the rattle behind the passenger air vent, a week on tuesday. :)

Did you not get 3 years warranty?

Did you not get 3 years warranty?

Must Check ----- ( goes running off to read paperwork) :D

OK - now i have checked - Yes , yes i do have a 3 yr warranty

The third year warranty with 60,000 mile limitation.

After the first two years of your warranty, your vehicle will be covered by a third year SŠKODA authorised network warranty if:

> The vehicle has not exceeded 60,000 miles > The vehicle was imported by SŠKODA UK and

supplied through the United Kingdom SŠKODA authorised network

Credit where credit is due, Most sites are nothing but problems.

My local dealer has always been 1st class, I have bought 5 from them, I have had 2 MK1 Octavias, 1 Fabia vRS, now the FL vRS, & SWMBO has a Fabia SE.

+1 to that. My local Dealer has been equally impressive (Savilles of Mustow Green), though I'm only on my 2nd skoda

Mustow Green isn't that far from me, so might try them rather than my usual dealer. Thanks.

They're a family owned garage and the owners son is the sales director, who really knows his products well and is very helpful- he suggested I took out the finance which saved me £500 and got me 3 years free servicing! It's not like your typical multi franchise/multi dealership set up. I've bought 2 Octys from them in just over 12 months and have been very pleased with the level of service I've recieved from them. I've not had any servicing done as I sold my 1st Octy back to them before the 1st one was due. I have found their service department very helpful though- they fitted front mudflaps for me FOC on the day when I picked my 1st one up, fixed a problem when the air bag light came on under warrenty for me and provided me with loads of advice on how to keep my vRS nice and shiny. They're always friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. I'd be interested to know what others think but the thread on them in the dealer section was locked when I looked last time so couldn't add an new post.

cheers

Ade

Posted this in another thread but relevant here .......My Blackline was four week or so late in delivery and I have just had Dan from skoda uk ring me ( been dealing with this issue from the start ) and offer me a free service ( I'm on variable and didn't use the finance deal ) and he chucked in a space saver wheel and kit !

I thought this was a nice offer as they didn't actually have to do anything.

Found Dan to be extremely helpful throughout this process ..... If you have a problem you could do worse than calling him , just thought I'd share my experience

Also I'm addition to the above my dealer ( Neil at Wimborne in Dorset ) sorted out a loan car until mine arrived ????????. Good service all round
