Car went in limp mode for no reason

Going to work tonight car lost all boost as in limp mode.

Switched off engine and restarted all ok ??

Anyone had this problem

I had this with my Octavia TDI, the vanes in the turbo started sticking due to the build up of deposits. I dismantled the unit and cleaned it up with very fine wet and dry. After a lot of work and a very shiny finish to the compressor insides, I reassembled and all went well, in fact, better than before.

Check the actuator that controls the turbo vanes, if this is not operating properly it could indicate muck in the vanes.

exactly, it didn't go into limp mode for ****s and giggles

mine did this the other day but my fuel light was on turned it off went and filled it up vpower diesel and gave it a good boot hasnt done it since or anyother time so god knows

May have just over heated it mate. Mine used to go into limp because my intake temp got to hot. Also check your vaccum controller as mine kept chucking it into limp with no codes

My car was stone cold mate diesel light was on mind guna give it an oil change flush and plug it in see if there's any codes
