Headunit trim

Featured Replies

After buying a kit from skoda to change my mk2 to a single din headunit it turned out the cover for the center console didnt fit.

Turns out Skoda never made a kit for pre 2008 vrs's which have the right cover and i'd have to spend yet another £20 on the cover.

Anyone else come across this or is the dealer fibbing?

Sounds like a right petty way to make a few extra quid to me

this is correct for pre-FL you will need to get another facia trim + the cabling is a bit poo too as the memory wire is not wired up correctly

Regarding the cable ive been told i need to find a switched live from the fuse box

Regarding the cable ive been told i need to find a switched live from the fuse box

yes there is a switched live connected to the fuse box but no permanent live so your radio

stations don't store properly.

I ended up getting different cable that worked properly, which saves the hassle of connecting a switched live to the fuse box, which can be a pain to do

Which cable did you use?

I found using a connects2 cable you still have no switched live as it turns on with no keys
