Car has almost done 180K.

The irritation I have is occasionally when the accelerator is pressed lightly there seems to be a slight stutter or miss fire. Almost like the accelerator has been momentarily let go then pressed again.

Has actually done this for a very long time now but not sure if it's getting worse or not.

Any ideas as to what this might be? There was a post a few weeks back that seemed to hint at the injector wiring loom and I noticed the previous post to this, Roto mentioned injector wiring loom again.

The injector wiring loom is the most likely cause and doesn't always show a fault code. At your mileage, change it on spec. - only about £50. Warm the new one before bending it into the head. The old one will break when you remove it.
