Get yerself down to the SY meet and i'll give you plenty of ideas! ;)

Lights I can help on, LED lights are easy to get hold of for the fab, im gonna whore out halfords now cause I work there but here goes :p

They do an HID style bulb for normal lights which give out a white light, also do led sidelights, the best to go for are the led prism ones, they dont have any of the flickering problems and alot of them are CANBUS ready. Led number plate lights are easy to pick up there, il find out the part numbers later when im on my computer :D

Sent from my amazing awsome windows phone using my speedy thumbs :D

btw for performance mods,, Chris is your man! ;)

Airbox mod, throttle body clean (fit a catch tank if it's bad though strangely when I stripped ours last week it was pristine), oil change, new filters (air, oil, fuel, cabin), new plugs, check the rocker cover gasket (it probably weeps and is a £4 part inc the two caps).

For lights LED plate lights look good, sidelights do as well, then you'll probably want whiter headlights, Phillips Vision + are good but TBH they'll not last, HID's in reflector headlights look bad, really bad, even the R versions. Not a fan of tinting lights myself, Philips quick illuminating rear brake lights are a decent upgrade, LED's aren't usually. Bosch aerotwin's are more expensive but look better if you fancy an upgrade, the normal Bosch do an equally good job,

Lowering can improve aesthetics but probably not the handling, if you're doing that then I'd be tempted to consider the full suspension overhaul as opposed to just springs. While you're at it have a look at the console bushes, they are usually knackered.

Interior wise under seat box is handy if you haven't got one, cup holder is useless, audio upgrade is worth it (new single/double DIN HU), you can retrofit central locking and cruise if you want but check the version of the control unit you have, the mpi was often sold in classic trim so needed an upgraded CU (scrappy/eBay).

Front and rear brace are available if you'll be driving in a manner to benefit from them.

Exterior cosmetics are personal choice but please remember, if you modify it (eg start strapping a cold air intake onto the airbox, lowering or braces etc.) then make sure you notify your insurer, you may think you'll be fine but if some tool crashes into you and claims he was blinded by your retrofitted HID's then you could have a problem.
