Am totally new to VAG vehicles as am normally a Jap man. I've tried the search but perhaps I've been putting in the wrong keywords.

Basically after a picking up a copy for Performance VW magazine in order to peep at what goodies fit the Fabia, I've gotten a bit lost with the chassis codes.

So my mk1 Fabia vrs is a 6Y right? Is that just the vrs or is that ALL mk1 fabias?

But it shares the same platform as a VW Polo?

So when looking in a magazine and it lists a polo and not a fabia, what code/mk of polo am I looking for?

The 6Y is for the MK1 Fabia.

The polo is the same and is a 9N.

The ibiza 6L also shares the same platform.
