Just out of interest, what is that bush/bearing/ring type thing on the 0/s driveshaft and what does it do? Sit on the actual shaft approx where the down pipe passes the driveshaft

It's a vibration damper.

ive taken mine off now as it was loose and waiting for a new 1 (the rubbers where so worn it didnt fit properly no more) and now whenever i accelerate it feels like my wheel bearings are shot lol also changing gear judders abit like a worn engine mount. really cant wait to get it sorted. Only asked what it was as it was loose then when i found out i took it off thinking it cant make that much difference but as ben said "boy did i know it" i too now also know it :( lol

No idea noticed wobble in steering next thing I know clunk and a lump of metal with sheered bolts fell behind me. Driving after that was like have badly balanced wheels.

Could someone let me know where they bought one? And if I can buy one online as unless I'm buying a new bloody car my dealer doesn't want to know!
