Looking at a laurin and klement felicia tomorrow.

Are they a good buy, I like the felicia and these seem to be a good spec but are there any unexpected surprises to look for on them?

Thanks! John

Hi, welcome & good luck with that, hope it's worth looking at. If you search the Classic section you'll find guides/tips & pointers in this respect. Cheers, Rob. ;)

Hi and welcome aboard.

Well, that all went a little wrong! Looked at it yesterday instead. Poor thing is in a right state body wise.

Completely rusted out rear wings, sills needed repair work, bottoms of every door had gone, bootlid rusted, both front wings were rusty all around the arch and along the shuts, front inner wings were going pretty badly around the strut area, laquer gone off the bonnet and covered in scratches and dents, knackered door seals and messy parts of the interior.

That was before I even started the thing, didn't sound very sweet to be fair when they drove off.

Never even bothered looking underneath if the top half is that bad.

Shame really as I was quite excited by it. Not really worth saving in my opinion (cost wise), too far gone needing every panel replacing or repairing and then a full respray and that doen't tackle anything mechanical that may be hidden.

Hope someone doesn't get stung buying that car though. On gumtree for £400.

Shame.

I had an L&K Felicia and loved it:

It was a shame, definitely and I am guessing that they should look a bit more like yours!

Hi & not entirely surprised. It's the sort of car necessitating some plausible excuses & then get the hell out of there!! Been there, done that :wonder:

i would buy it worth it for parts and take seats out and fit them to mine you got a number

I saw enough to know the car was in a far worse state than a few scabs as advertised. Sorry if you have taken offence, maybe we just have different opinions on car standards. I will try and delete my post so anyone who see's your car can judge for themselves. Good luck with the sale.

a car is only a car if people have some TLC some people just run them in ground but they don't make them out off good metal any more like the older cars but thats a shame that some one killed a L and K one i got a SLXi and that was dented scratched and rusty and that was a T reg but that did not stop me as i see air con on it and thought i will make that fit mine so i did. Them leathers are worth £500 in the l and K

any one can post its a forum and tho's that don't like whats said don't have to read it....

Sorry we do have different standards I would never drive a Mazda that sounded like a diesel cement mixer and probably had about as much power lol

haha, touche! It does sound a little industrial when first started! Quite powerful to be fair (if you could ever call a td powerful) but i find you have to rev that harder then the little seat we have.
