Shark Stage 1 with STS unit. Worth it, problems etc

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Thinking of getting Shark Stage 1 remap for my VRS PD estate with the STS unit. Car is an early MY08 with 54,000. Read through forums, Shark seems popular choice with many. Had superchips remap before on two 1.9 PD engines ( Skoda and VW ) and suitably impressed. Apart from potential clutch problems due to extra torque ( VW did have to have clutch changed within 5000 miles, done 58,000 when fitted) is there any other problems to look out for such as premature DPF failure. Like the idea of being able to remove map if selling or servicing etc.

Thoughts please?

hi i purchased one for my old pd superb very easy to change the map on your car and you can take the map off when you want as well ,made the car the drive better and about 3 miles to the gallon better.

plus you can use the sts unit for code reading as well,i would recommend it and shark

The STS unit is just a generic unit Evolve do the same as do a few other
