Meter help

Featured Replies

Hi there I was wondering if anyone knows about the fitting of a taxi meter in the superbs that it needs a pulse wire and a canbus fitted but from what I have heard there are 2 ways, there is a wire behind the stereo that you connect to but need a canbus but you can also fit it behind the cluster with the pulse wire and don't need canbus am I right or wrong and what needs removed from the dash and does it go back in without any warning lights coming on any pics would appreciated the meter I'm using is a sheriff wayfare and does anyone know good places for the meter go

I can't help you much with the wiring as I had mine installed by an Digitax agent. As for location mine is fixed with 2 L shaped metal plates that just slip in the top of the air vents. Not a great picture just no but if you need more pics in the day light just ask.

that would help a bunch to to help me see where everything goes. iv also got a radio and data head to fit so the datahead will take some more time to see where they go where would you think is the best? even gluing the meter and data head together P1290091.jpg?t=1357425739

Ffs what was wrong with the good old 2way. That's like a whole pc stuck to the dash. The meter should be easy after fitting that thing lol

belive me its a lot better than chasing hires once the data head beeps the hire is yours and no need to drive as fast as possible to get there before any other cabs we started using this in 2005 and it. Made a big difference but the more meter pics would be much appreciated.

It's really a simple L bracket with sticky pads on the meter which slots into the trim above the vents.
