Electric window / interior lights problem

Featured Replies

I am pretty sure I have a fuse gone, but can't find the right one. I have had a look in the side panel ( next to the drivers door, but can't see any blown, but it may be so slight I have missed it ). The rear light in the estate has allways been abit iffy for staying on, but after a couple of shuts of the tail gate its normally fine, but not always. The switch has been adjusted , but the problem soon re-appears. The other night ( monday ) t would not turn off at all so i just went to remove the bulb as a temp. measure, ( Iwas concerned about it staying on draining the battery, although its a decent bosch battery , only been on a couple of months ) i just touched the bulb & it went out ( along with the one on the other side ), so thought all was ok, I must of moved it enough to break contact. yesterday while out I went to adjust my electric mirrors & got nothing, they were dead, I also noticed I did not get the warning that i had left the parking light on when i opened the door, spotted the side light was on immmediatly, & turned it off. while checking things yesterday I also discovered the interior lights won't come on. I can't just see the fuse listed in the manual, but I may of over looked it. Anybody any idea on which fuse it is likely to be, should I replace the rear bulb incase this is likely to cause the problem. ( I may already have a torpedo shaped bulb ).

p.s its on a 1.6 glxi 99 reg estate octy.

Well we found the fuse yesterday, & its all sorted, just a quick job. It was a small 10 red fuse, number 14 . it does alot more than it says in the handbook, all problems are now sorted, ( apart from the boot light, but looks like we have found the cause of that to, can fix it another day ).I was doubley glad of the air-con with not beeing able to open the windows to.
