can you change an order or is that it?

Featured Replies

my dad has ordered a 1.2 fabia in white with elba wheels. 16inch. Is it possible to change the order to include 17inch vrs wheels even though its not a vrs and he already placed the order. Placed the order on Saturday.

shouldn't see it being too much of a hassle as it won't have begun to be built yet. Call the sales team is your best way to be sure. Will 17s fit though? The tyres would have to have a lower sidewall and could give a harsher ride.

I made about 4 seperate changes to my order and in the end the car was delivered earlier because i had changed the spec to a car that was already built but had the order cancelled. Result i thought

The 17" Gigaro wheels are unlikely to be an official Option, so its going to be a case of making an arrangement with the Dealership.

They might have 'take offs' available or be able to supply the wheels after delivery of the ordered car.

as above, unless its an optional extra for that spec model then you cant simply ask for it to be built like it... you may be able to pick some up online somewhere...

Ordered my Fabia on Saturday, changed it slightly today!

As others have said the 17" rims are not a factory option for a UK SE or Elegance, therefore would be very difficult to factory spec (but nothing is impossible, see Yeti spec below ;) ) or potentially very pricey to dealer fit.

However I would again agree with other posters, that larger alloys do not help the ride/handling of a Fabia on the standard suspension. Strange as it sounds, my Monte on it's 'sports' suspension handles better fitted 195/55 R15 winter wheels, than the previous Elegance did on the standard set-up with the 16" wheels IMHO. Mind the Monte is like a go-kart on her standard 17" wheels; what suspension :giggle:

Oh forgot to say, I tried adding an additional option three weeks after placing the order. No joy, as the factory had just locked it in preparation for ordering up the bits for building her; a month sooner than the dealer anticipated.

As stated vRS wheels are not an option on a 1.2 and to buy those and the tyres ,about £900 say ,is just too much.

The 16inch elba's with tyres are not a huge amount less, so maybe a slightly more premium to pay. iirc 16" wheels with no tyre are about £120 each
