Bluetooth with Stream MP3 Advice please

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Been searching around but can't find anything definitive.

I am taking delivery of an 07 Octavia Elegance with a Stream MP3.

I have an iO Play Bluetooth kit which has a built in amp for streaming music etc.

How do I get them to play together?

The bluetooth has a standard pass-thru type ISO connector.

I assume I would need some sort of ISO to Quadlock (?) type of thing like this?:

If I'm barking up the wrong tree then tell me and point me to the right tree.

Many Thanks

Phil

If the iO Play kit is ISO, then yes - ISO>Quadlock is what you'll need.

Not familiar with that kit, but if it's standard ISO then it should work with an adaptor, like the one you've linked.

Have a look at www.octavia-vrs.com if you've not already, quite a few handy guides for the new Octy2 owner on there :) - the removal guide for the stereo will help you. Think it's under 'MFD2' but the process is the same.

Thanks Steve.

Just had a look through octavia-vrs.com. Some useful stuff.

Still not sure on puttin the iO play in. It's not ideal as it has it's own amp and isn't as good as the stereo's amp.

I might give it a go for the sake of an ISO adapter.

Did some more digging and also looks like I may have to pick up a switch live from somewhere too due to the stereo being can-bus. Just use the heated seats fuse or something like I did in the last car.

Thanks

Phil

P.s. Can't frickin wait to get the car now! :giggle:

Like you say, you can always trial fit it and see how you get on. The amp in the Stream isn't all that great FYI :)
