Excited and Annoyed

Featured Replies

I'm Excited because my new car got delivered to the dealer today and I should have it by the end of the week. L&K 2.0CR 140 DSG in Mag Brown with heated front screen, wood and MDI.

I'm Annoyed because my current 2008 Elegance 170CR is currently in bits having broken the turbo waste gate actuator. If it had held on a few more days it would have saved me just shy of £300.

Sorry, just had to vent!

Sorry I would have taken the bus the remainder of the week and had the garage collect your PX saying that it wouldn't start that morning, after all the deal was struck when you ordered the car weeks ago, and that its taken them month to get the new car it's not your fault it's had a mechanical fault.. Or is that just me being nasty to the garage ? Anyway you'll soon have your new toy and £300 it's too bad it could have been a lot worse if the turbo had gone...

Enjoy the end of the week when you collect the new one

I did think about just taking it into them in 'limp mode', but I don't think that would have worked somehow.

Once the deal has been done they have agreed to give you that amount for your px and you have agreed to buy a car from them at whatever price, should not matter if the car comes in on a low loader not starting that will be there car there problem. I am getting a superb later this month too and the skoda dealer gave me a stupid price for the octavia yes it is an ex taxi but was worth at least double what they gave me

...but you agreed on the price?

Sorry to hijack thread - but did u say HEATED WINDSCREEN?

can i ask if this is standard on any model or which model/trim it would have been an optional standard?

No not std but it is an option on most models (not the Greenline though)

And yes it is great.

Thkd Gizmo!

I want a Heated windscreen too now! :-)

Yep the heated windscreen is great, went out this morning to a very frosty car. By the time I'd scraped the side windows the screen just needed a flip of the wipers to clear.

Would be ACE for nx couple if weeks! :-)

It’s also great on those timed that there is a bit of fogging on the inside of the screen, (getting into the car whilst you are wet etc) turn the screen on for 30 seconds and by then the heater will be pushing enough air over the screen to enable you to turn the heated screen off again.

I kno!

I didnt know any other manufacturer offered it.

I thought it was a FORD technology.

I even went to test drive a Focus just to see if i like it (just for the sake

of the heated windscreen!)

I ordered it too, and wasn't sure if I'd done the right thing. In this kind of weather, it's a godsend.

Ford like to pretend it's theirs, but even Mk1 Range Rovers as an option had this back in the 80s (well before Ford bought LR).
