Oops, I have ordered an ebay CAI kit now too lol.

I won't be using the supplied filter though, I will swap it for either a K&N or Alutec filter that I have floating about in the garage (whichever is easier to make fit).

Oh and maybe a stupid question, but can I get the SAI mapped out, before I remove it all ?

OR

Can I remove all the stuff, but leave it plugged in, so that it doesn't throw a cell ?

Just don't want the engine management light on for the next couple of weeks, and I don't see the point in messing about with resistors as it's only for a short period of time.

Yeah you can get it mapped out without having to touch any hardware. It'll just switch it all off with no ill effects. In theory you never have to remove it all, it just gives you loads more room in the engine bay once you have.

Yep as stated can get mapped out.

I would remove to clean the bay up.

I just updated my diy guide in techi section if it helps.

Yep I read your guide again last night (this time with pics :D).

As said I don't really want to be driving around with the engine management light on for a week or 2 if I don't have to, thats assuming I get a chance to remove all the junk before the remap due to the weather at the moment.

Thanks

Cool , I meant go for mapping cell out before you remove the parts then you can remove when you are ready.
