Hi, I hope someone can help me. Our Fabia estate had its o/s wing toasted by a Merc. I'm in the process of putting it back together and need to replace the o/s headlamp unit as all the brackets are cracked or snapped. I've unscrewed the unit, but have been foiled by the electrical plug. I found a great site that describes how to replace the unit, it just doesn't have enough information on disconnecting the plug as I don't want to break it!

Most plugs I have dealt with are very difficult to remove. Use a small flat screw driver to press in the clip part assuming there is one and wiggle at the same time. They quite simply are a pain in the butt.
