Hi guys, not really sure where to post this but here goes,

I've been to look at a car and it has Xenon headlights. When I switch them on they both light up, level but then the drivers side goes off for about 15 seconds and then lights back up and stays on, I took it for a decent drive and it didn't go off again. When I got back, I powered down the car, and restarted. The lights came back on, but then the same light powered down and then 15 seconds later came back on and stayed on.

What could be causing this? I thought at first dodgy connection but as it is only on first activation I guess not...

I can't be certain, but it could be that the light is having slight issues striking the arc initially.

If its original fit a new one could be into the hundreds of £'s

If its a factory one, a VW one may fit.
