VW Golf Plus front armrest retrofit.

Featured Replies

Spotted this on eBay and it's what I'd like to have back for when I'm driving on our regular motorway journeys.

Vw Armrest GOLF MK5 Mk6 04-09 Complete Jetta Eos Scirocco | eBay

Does anyone know what other parts of trim would be needed to make it fit?

If you are planning on putting it into a Skoda, it won't fit as the handbrake is on the wrong side!

If however you are putting it into a Golf Plus (as per your details) then it depends upon what you already have fitted.

You'll probably need some screws to fix it down, air ducts / guides to link to the front of the car (it looks like ducts inside the armrest are included) and that's probably about it.

Yeah would be going in our Golf Plus. Just trying to work out if any more of the central trim would be needed. The bit that runs around the gear lever, between the seats to the dash.

I've asked on a VW site but may take a week to get a useful answer lol.

I couldn't find any decent pictures on the net that show the join between the armrest section and the handbrake section.

If that join is the same as the one on your car (roughly where the seat belt clips are) then you should be OK.

I doubt you have the air duct to join the existing ducts behind the heating controls to the new duct in the armrest.

If its anything like the Octavia, it just a question of removing a flap and pushing the new duct onto the new hole.

Four screws to hold the armrest down and the a few different ones to secure the trim and you'll be all set.

That's pretty much what I was hoping, will have a look in mine in the daylight tomorrow. Would be nice if it was quite straight forward.

Thanks.
