Fuel pump relay sticking possibly,

I had this issue for abit last year but it seem to cure itself altho

i had messed about with the suction tank breather thing and the pipes to manifold, not sure if it had owt to do with that or not

Engine coolant temperature sensor?

A fault scan sounds next...?

+1 Othewise your just fishing in the dark,

suggest you have it done by someone local to you (brisky member) who has a full vag-com software.

The hand held devices you can get from (ie halfords) are good value for money but arnt always able to do a

complete system scan (see all the data blocks).

VCDS scan & check what the ECU is reading from the Coolant temp sensor.

sorry, forgot id posted this! thank you for the replies, i will update. i had a fault code reader, but to be honest the engine management light was always on due to the secondary air bypass! so when i couldnt find it i wasnt to worried ,thought i would be plugs/coils etc...ended up the wife had tidied it away :wall: as mentioned before ,i changed the plugs, coil packs, coolant temp sensor, cleaned out throttle body. so after i was reunited with the fault code reader i rescanned and found a new fault code!!! camshaft sensor voltage to high! so went on the net for a replacement, genuine was no possible as told £160! so i looked around euro car parts were the cheapest at £60. i had bought the ignition coild from a company called car parts 4 less, and was happy with price and service the coils were in euro car parts boxes! and much cheaper, so ordered the cam sensor off car parts 4 less and for £30 delivered, i ordered sat night recieved am monday!!! and the was a genuine part!!! stamped audi in the casting etc  well chuffed, fitted the part and now perfect again!

result buddy well done.....
