intermittent wipers on my 58 fabia have stopped working. all other setting are ok , can anyone help?

Shut the bonnet.

If it is shut check the bonnet switch.

Watch out for your alarm going off randomly too - common Fabia 1 problem. Slam all doors, and bonnet, as Tech1e mentions, should fix it. I also gave the bonnet catch a good dose of lube too and it should be ok. Mine seemed to come back and need this doing around once a year on average.
