Not good but could be worse.

Silbury Skoda checked it out this morning and warned me that if the oil feed pipe out of the sump is cracked then it is 8hours labour as the pipe runs up past the turbo and the turbo needs to be dropped to replace it *gulp*!

Oil feed pipe is fine as is the oil sensor unit.

The sump is dead and the chin of the front spoiler looks like someone (me) has taken an angle grinder to it.

I am really ashamed that I have had the car back 3 days and I have put it off the road again. I feel so stupid, especially after giving Miss L a solemn promise that I wasn't going to wreck the car or kill us/anyone else.

The cost to repair?

Glad things are being sorted and the damage limited, I admire you for your your honesty. I hope your girl freind forgives you and you both come to another meet your presence brought something special to the group. I am sure your GF had prenty of time to give you a roasting while you were stuck in that remote point. When both cars left the group everyone who met up afterwards was truly concerned.
