Could it possibly be a calliper?

Featured Replies

Hi guys just looking for a little advice my fabia vrs has just started making a squeeking noise as I pull away but only does it like 3 out of 4 times I pull away so yea pretty much constantly but im not sure if its a calliper?? Anyone had a similiar noise or have any ideas what to check? Or if its a calliper can they be freed off or are there any good places to get new ones?

Thanks guys chris

I had this problem with mine when I got it, found out the front drivers side brake pads had seized in the caliper so didn't release properly, new set of pads with plenty of copper grease and no more squeeking

Ahh ok what did you check mate? Or the best thing to do lol.

Best thing to do is jack it up and spin the wheel, if it sticks or squeeks then that'll most likely be your problem.

Does anyone also know if this is push callipers or wind in?

Front one's push back, rear one's require winding I think..
